User Manual - Quick Start - PocketExam Options

To launch PocketExam Options, using menu File->Options...

The Options dialog box will be displayed.

Common

The common options are described in the table below.

Name	Description
Timer On	This box must be checked to set a time limit for the test.
Minutes Allowed	This is the maximum time allowed for the exam, in minutes.
Questions order	When in Random sequence mode, questions are chosen randomly up to the maximum number of questions. Questions are chosen sequentially.
Auto-loaded last file when it starts	Run last opened exam file when PocketExam starts
Scoring: Hide until the end	This option will only display the studentÒs final score once the test has been finished.
Scoring: Multiple Choice	Assume that 1 point gives for all correct answers or 1 point gives for one correct answer in the question
One guess only per question	Gives ability only one time for selecting answer

Colors

You can change default colors. But if your question from quizz file (*.pex) has pre-defined colors then these colors will be used.

The colors are described in the table below.

Background	Background of Main screen
Common	System titles, messages
Question	Question's text
Answer	Answer's text
Selected Answer	Selected Answer's Text
Correct Answer	Correct Answer's Text

Fonts

You can change default font's settings. But if your question from quizz file (*.pex) has pre-defined font's settings like size or font's style then these font's settings will be used.

The font's styles are described in the table below.

Size	Size of font
B	Bold
I	Italic
U	Underline

Sounds

Sound On: Use this option to enable/disable the sounds played for exam events (correct answer, wrong answer).
You can set the default sounds simply specify path to the .wav file.
