User Manual - PocketExam Builder - Working with questions

PocketExam supports most of the question types used in exams.

• Multiple Choice
• Single Choice
• Flash Card
• Yes / No

To create a question

1. On the Question menu, click to Add New Question or press Ctrl-+. The New Question dialog box will be displayed.
   
   
   The New Question dialog is divided into three parts.
   
   • Question Text
   • Question's Type
   • Answers

   The toolbar commands are described in the table below.

   	Undo	Undo last change.
   	Redo	Redo last Undo.
   	Cut	Cut selected text to Clipboard.
   	Copy	Copy selected text to Clipboard.
   	Paste	Insert Clipboard text to cursor position.
   	Bold	Apply to text bold formatting.
   	Italic	Apply to text italic formatting.
   	Underline	Apply to text underline formatting.
   	Insert Picture	Insert Picture into answer.
   	Remove Picture	Remove Picture from answer.
   	Add New Answer	Add typed answer to the answers list
   	Update an Answer	Update selected answer
   	Clear Answer's Text	Clear Answer's Text Field
   	Delete an Answer	Delete selected answer

   
   
2. Type question text in the Question's Text Field. You can also change a text style and text color for your question text.
   
3. Choose Question type.

   The Question's type are described in the table below.

   Type	Preview
   Only One Choice
   Multiple Choices
   Flash Card
   Yes / No

   
   
4. Type answer text in the Answer's Text Field. You can also change a text style and text color for your question text.
   
5. If you question's Type is not Flash Card, add typed answer to the answer's list. Click Add as New Answer . Repeat this step as you have answers.
6. Specify what is(are) correct answer(s). Just select and check check-box or check-boxes with correct answer in the answer's list.
   
   
7. To delete answer from answer's list, please, select this answer in the list and press Delete Answer.
8. If you want to change answer's text, please, select this answer in the list, edit you answer in the Answer's Text Field and press Update Answer.
9. If you want to add one picture to your answer, press Add Picture, select BMP file and press OK in the File Choose Dialog. To remove picture from your answer, press Remove Picture.
10. When you are done with above steps, press OK button.
    

To edit a question

1. Select a question in the question list, in Main Window.
   
   
2. Press Enter or Double-Click on this question or On the Question menu, click to Edit Question
3. You will see the Question dialog, which you filled out when you created this question.
4. Make a changes and press OK button.

To delete a question

1. Select a question in the question list, in Main Window.
   
   
2. Press Delete or on the Question menu, click to Delete Question
3. Confirm that you want to delete selected question or cancel it.
   

To change an order of question

1. Select a question in the question list, in Main Window.
   
   
2. Press Ctrl+Up or on the Question menu, click to Move Question Up in case if you want to move selected question one position up.
   Press Ctrl+Down or on the Question menu, click to Move Question Down in case if you want to move selected question one position up.
